Messages

Overview​

Messages is in-app messaging when your school turns it on. It is separate from Parent Portal Messages (alerts) and from the Notifications inbox.

Who can use it​

Users whose school shows Messages.

Where to find it​

App navigation → Messages.

Before you start​

Your role includes messaging. The people you message must also have accounts.

How to use it​

Send or read a message​

  1. Open Messages.
  2. Select a conversation or start a new one if offered.
  3. Write and send; check for replies later.

Tips​

  • Parents: use Parent Portal Messages for school alerts; direct chat may not be on.
  • Follow your school’s rules for student–teacher contact.

If you get stuck​

  • Page empty or missing: ask your admin if messaging is on for your role.
  • Looking for system alerts: use Notifications.
